In ZEPIC, association fields are important because they connect related data across different Objects, like the Contact Object and Orders Object*
* - ZEPIC’s default Objects include Contacts, Companies, and Visitors. Please note that the Orders Object referenced will need to be created by the user.
The Contact Object holds all the crucial customer details—name, email address, phone number, and so on. Meanwhile, the Orders Object stores everything about customer orders: order numbers, what products were purchased, when the orders were made, payment info, and more.
These Objects are linked through (association) fields like "Customer ID" or "Contact Email" in the Orders Object, which correspond to the customer records in the Contact Object. This connection helps businesses see the full picture of each customer's interactions and transactions. As a result, they can create personalized communication strategies that drive engagement and boost customer satisfaction.
Examples of How Association Fields are Useful:
Personalized Email Campaigns:
Scenario - A business wants to run a targeted email campaign offering discounts to loyal customers who have made multiple purchases in the past.
Usage - With the association between Contacts and Orders, the business can easily identify customers who frequently make purchases or have high order values.
Example: The email campaign can be tailored to each customer by addressing them by name and mentioning their recent orders or favorite products. For instance:
Hi [Customer Name],
Thank you for being a loyal customer! As a token of our appreciation, enjoy 20% off on your next purchase of [Product Category]. We noticed you've been loving [Product], and we can't wait to see what you'll choose next!"
Segmented WhatsApp Messages:
Scenario: A company is introducing a new product line and wants to notify customers who have previously shown interest in related product categories.
Usage: By using association fields, the company can segment customers based on their past order preferences or browsing history.
Example: The WhatsApp message can be personalized for each segment, highlighting relevant new products and offering early access or exclusive discounts to customers who have purchased similar items before. For example:
"Hi [Customer Name],
We're excited to introduce our new [Product Line]! Since you've enjoyed our [Related Product Category], we wanted to give you early access and an exclusive discount. Check out the latest arrivals now and enjoy 15% off your first purchase from the new collection!"
Order Status Updates:
Scenario: An e-commerce platform needs to keep customers informed about their order status and delivery schedules.
Usage: The association between Contacts and Orders allows the platform to provide timely and accurate updates about each customer's order.
Example: By sending automated WhatsApp notifications, the platform can share order tracking links, expected delivery dates, and contact information for any queries. This enhances transparency and boosts customer satisfaction. For instance:
"Hi [Customer Name],
Your order [Order Number] has been shipped! You can track its progress using this link: [Tracking Link]. Your estimated delivery date is [Delivery Date]. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at [Contact Information]. Thank you for shopping with us!"
In summary, association fields in ZEPIC enable businesses to craft highly targeted and personalized communication strategies. By leveraging these associations—whether through email campaigns, WhatsApp messages, or order status updates—businesses can significantly boost customer engagement, drive conversions, and cultivate long-term customer loyalty.
